Workin' at Microsoft Blues

This song was written in January 2009.
Things were different then.
I'm happy to say
That today
This verse I can prepend.

I've forever loved computers
I'm a geek and have always been.
Forgive my prattle
Occupy Seattle
In spirit, I attend

They say to learn to sing the blues,
you've got to live in a ditch.
You've got to be living life on the ropes,
and not know which way is which.

Well I'm right here to tell you folks,
and that's what I'm gonna do,
'cause I ain't never been that broke,
but I got the workin' at Microsoft blues.

Friends are getting laid off
The economy's going to shit
And when it's going to turn around
Is everybody's bit.

Take the bull by the horns
And turn it into a friend,
'cause we should live life
to the full
before we hit the end.

Well I'm right here to tell you folks,
and that's what I'm gonna do,
'cause I ain't never been that broke,
but I got the workin' at Microsoft blues.
